The Community Foundation is pleased to welcome this year's keynote speaker, Tony Crescenzi, back to Detroit for our annual Investment Briefing.
A distinguished portfolio manager, accomplished author, and sought-after financial commentator, Mr. Crescenzi brings over four decades of investment expertise to our event.
Since joining PIMCO in 2009, Mr. Crescenzi has leveraged his extensive market experience, previously serving as chief bond market strategist at Miller Tabak and holding key positions at Lehman Brothers and Prudential Bache. He is the author of six acclaimed books on investment strategy, including "The Strategic Bond Investor" and "Beyond the Keynesian Endpoint."
A respected voice in financial media, Mr. Crescenzi regularly provides market insights on CNBC and Bloomberg Television, and his commentary appears across leading financial publications. He shared his expertise in academia as well, teaching in the executive MBA program at Baruch College from 1999 to 2009.
Mr. Crescenzi holds an MBA from St. John's University and an undergraduate degree from the City University of New York, complementing his 42 years of hands-on investment experience.
Quincy Brown will be presenting on the investment strategy and performance of the Community Foundation's endowment portfolio. As a managing director at FEG, the Community Foundation's investment advisory firm, Mr. Brown works closely with our Investment Committee to determine asset allocation, select and monitor investment managers, and review portfolio performance.
With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Brown brings deep expertise working with diverse institutional clients. He joined FEG in 1996 as one of the firm's first analysts, serving in both investment research and client service capacities before advancing to his current advisory role.
Throughout his tenure, he has specialized in counseling nonprofit organizations, including colleges and universities, community foundations, private foundations, healthcare systems, religious entities, and charitable organizations.
Mr. Brown's leadership extends beyond client service—he previously served as FEG's Director of Client Service, overseeing the analyst teams that support client relationships firmwide. Currently, he leads or participates in several key FEG committees, including BRIDGE, Diverse Manager, Culture, Business Continuity, and Technology Steering Committees. He is also a member of FEG's Leadership Team and Values Aligned Investing Team.
Additionally, Mr. Brown helps facilitate FEG's annual community foundation survey and webinar, a decade-long initiative that provides investment and enterprise-level insights to community foundations nationwide.
